Fairtrade is an international trade system based on equity and respect, promoting the development of small producers.
This approach seeks to promote responsible management of natural resources and facilitate direct market access on fair terms.

Fair price
Producers receive a fair price for their work, allowing them to cover the costs of production in a sustainable way and earn a decent income to support their families.
Decent working conditions
Workers enjoy safe and fair working conditions, including adequate wages, reasonable working hours and labour protection.
Community development
A portion of every purchase of Fairtrade products goes towards a Fairtrade Premium, which is invested in community development projects such as building schools, health centres, clean water infrastructure and training programmes.
Sustainability
Fairtrade products are produced using sustainable agricultural practices that protect the environment and promote the conservation of natural resources.
